2013 is the year of the Italian culture in the US, so we HAD to make a moodboard of course! For this "Rent The Look" we took our imagination to Sicily and carefully curated pieces from our inventory to match the vibe. I hope you like it as much as I do. So make yourself a Limonata and enjoy!

Quiz: Can you name these designers?

by Ronen Tamary

Can you recognize these famous, mid-century modern designers? It's not so easy! These gentleman could do it all- architectural, interior and product development that shaped the mid 20th century in modern design. I love the style of furniture that was created back then and it inspires me each and every day to come up with a new idea for our furniture collection. Especially the way they used elements such as wood and metal. We always design our rental furniture to be functional for events in Miami but I always keep these designers in the back of my mind when creating a new piece.

Corporate Event: Neat and Elegant

by Ronen Tamary in

A couple weeks ago we added the White Molding Bars and Island Sofas to our furniture rental collection. These "Made in Miami" pieces are neat and elegant, and work well with flower arrangements at events. This past weekend, one of our clients used them for a corporate event at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood. Accents of green were added by using our palm printed ottomans and pillows while floral arrangements made by Panache Style tied in the final look.

I really loved how each of our Island Sofas had a floral center pieces displayed within them. That was my intention when designing this sofa. I wanted to have a piece of furniture that florists can look at and say, "Hmm, we can do something interesting with the middle opening in this sofa?" In this case, they really did something interesting and beautiful. It was kind of frightening to see how the talented guys at Panache Style assembled the center piece, but the final look was great!

How important are accent pillows?

by Ronen Tamary

Very important. Accent pillows add so much to any lounge especially when using pillows with prints, patterns and colors. Renting accent pillows can enhance the final look of the lounge and make it feel complete.  The picture below shows an example of using a lot of pillows to create a cozy feel.

It's also a great way to communicate the concept of the event by for instance, renting pillows that match the company/event logo or making custom pillows with matching prints.

Chalk of Art

by Natalie Eshkenasy

Last week we provided our chalkboard bars- the 4' and 6' lengths for an event created by the Wow Factor USA at Villa 221. We love to see how companies use these fun bars to market different brands throughout events so we wanted to share it with our readers:

Swimshow 2013

by Natalie Eshkenasy

The Miami Beach SwimShow 2013 took place at the Convention Center this past July and as the official furniture sponsor for the show, we had several designer booths to furnish along with the main swim lounge and the Studio 30 party that took place after the fashion show that Sunday night.

For the main Swim Lounge, which was sponsored by Invista, the creator of the LYCRA fiber, we provided our signature wooden lounge chairs and tables along with colorful patterned and textured pillows. Our 8-foot bars were branded with Invista's latest marketing campaign images and were placed throughout the 400-foot long lounge to enhance the company's presence. On the north side of the lounge, laptops were placed on our illumina columns to create stations for guests to browse the web.

To celebrate SwimShow's 30th year, executive director Judy Stein, created a "Studio 54"-inspired after party that took place right after the Sunday-night fashion show. We decided to go with our banquet sofas and add the Studio 54 elements with our bronze and silver round ottomans, gold and metallic pillows, and add a lot of mirror reflections by incorporating our mirror bars and mirrored-top Anya tables.

Miami Swim Week 2013

by Natalie Eshkenasy

It’s been a while since our last post but we are very excited to talk about our events during Miami’s swim week  2013.
The first delivery we had to do was for the pool lounge at the new SLS Hotel in South Beach where the Omega’s Seamaster Planet Ocean launch party took place. Siinc Agency, who produced the event, used the existing hotel furniture together with our white Anya tables and Mona stools. Our Orange pillows were placed on the furniture and tied together the colors of the watch and the hotels color scheme.

In the main tent at the Raleigh hotel, LDJ Productions used our Mirror Bar and Ella Shelving in the main lobby tent to display bottles of the different liquor sponsors.
At the Lifestyle Retreat Lounge that took place at the Shelbourne hotel, Con Air was among the participants and used our Ella Shelving to display its BaByLiss PRO line of professional hair care products. Our chalkboard bar was also used to list the Twitter profiles of all the companies showcasing at the Lifestyle Retreat Lounge 2012.

Sirius XM Belve lounge at the W Hotel

by Natalie Eshkenasy

Another busy WMC passed by and we are thrilled to have been part of the Sirius XM Belve lounge produced by BMF Media.
We've provided white sofas, ottomans and illumina tables for the entire VIP lounge and Cabana area. The stage area included a smaller lounge where Sirius xm radio hosts interviewed different DJ's who were spinning during the 3 day intimate event. Also provided for the stage area were our museum display cases that displayed several Belvedere Vodka bottles. In the center of the stage, we placed the DJ booth made out of our illumina bars and hosted world known DJ's including Avicii, Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Nervo, and Nicky Romero. Very exiting to know these amazing DJ's spined on our bars and enjoyed our lounges!

Bringing a sketch to life

by Natalie Eshkenasy

During Art Basel 2011 we had the pleasure to work along side Shiraz events to create a spectrum experience at the 1111 Lincoln Rd building. It all came down to 5 sketches of lounge areas scattered throughout the venue's empty cement canvas, each one in a different color to create a whole spectrum.
Here are some images of our production team making it happen.

Amazing how it turned out exactly like the sketches!

This last Saturday we created the VIP lounge for the Cotton 24 hour fashion show. From noon Saturday until noon on Sunday, models walked the runway one per minute for a total of 1,440 different looks showing cotton appropriate looks for every hour of the day. The lounge area included our signature lounge chair with black cushions along with pillows that matched the events logo colors.
